Schooled Automation

Product

What the product actually does.

Schooled Automation covers the three things your estates and bursar team are already doing every day — monitoring, control, and accounting — and brings them onto one screen for the whole compound. We provide the hardware that connects to your existing fixtures, the software that runs the dashboard, and the install work that ties it all together.

Monitor

See what is happening across the compound right now.

Live device dashboard

A floor-plan view of the whole compound. Every connected door, light, gate, valve, meter and sensor is a dot you can tap.

Per-room status

Drill into a classroom, dorm wing, or office. See what is on, open, flowing, drawing current — and for how long.

Meter readings

Water mains and submeters, electricity, gas, solar inverter output — live values plus rolling hourly, daily, termly totals.

Alert rules

Water flow after 22:00. Lights still on at 03:00. Mains current spike. Door forced. Set a rule once; get the SMS or email when it fires.

Control

Operate the hardware around the school from one screen.

Remote actuation

Switch lights and sockets, lock and unlock doors, open and close the main gate, raise the flag, start the bell. With a clear audit of who did what.

Schedules

Bell timetable, gate-open windows, irrigation, lights-off rules, kitchen equipment warm-up — set them once, the compound runs itself.

Scenes

You can group several actions into a named scene. For example, an “Exam mode in Block C” scene can turn the lights on, mute the bells in that block, unlock the staff door, and lock the back gate, all from a single button instead of doing each thing one at a time.

Permissions and override

Estates manager runs all blocks; deputies run their wing; teachers can request. Physical switches always still work — life safety is not behind a screen.

Account

See where every litre of water and every unit of power is going.

Per-building consumption

Water and power broken down by dorm, classroom block, kitchen, offices, and grounds. Compare wings against each other in litres per bed and kWh per learner.

Leak and waste detection

We compare the mains meter against the sum of the submeters at night, so a hidden leak shows up before morning. The system also flags lights, fans, and ACs that have been left on after hours, so they can be switched off.

House and dorm leaderboards

Run inter-house competitions on water and power consumption. Reward the cleanest term. Make sustainability a thing students care about, not just the bursar.

Termly reports

A clean PDF for the board: what was used, what was saved, what was caught early. Carbon-footprint estimate included.

Next step

We usually start with a pilot on one block of the school for a single term.

We install the gateway, wire up the three things that usually matter most (lights, doors, and the water mains), and at the end of the term we write you a short report on what was switched, what we caught, and what was saved. From there we decide together which part of the school to do next.
