Electricity on the mains and broken down by block.
You can see live readings per phase on the mains and per-block consumption for each part of the school. The system also alerts you when there is a surge or an outage, and reads from your solar inverter if you have one.
The KPLC bill arrives once a month and tells you almost nothing about where the money went. We break that bill down to the block, the wing, and the day, so the bursar can show the board which dorm leaves its lights on the longest, which classroom block actually closes up at dusk, and how much the kitchen is really costing per meal.
What you get
Live readings on each phase of the mains
You can see kWh per phase as it happens, so a phase that is becoming imbalanced gets flagged before it trips something expensive.
Per-block breakdown
We split the consumption into each dorm, classroom block, the kitchen, and the offices, so the bursar can sort the list, compare against last term, and export it for the board.
Outage and surge notifications
When the grid drops and the generator takes over, the dashboard tells you. If there is a grid surge, you also get a warning so equipment can be unplugged if needed.
Solar inverter integration
If you have a solar inverter on the roof, we read how much it generated, how much of that was used by the school, and how much grid power that saved. At the end of the term you have a real number to put in the board report instead of an estimate.

What happened
Bursar needs a single page on power consumption for the board.
What we did about it
Schooled Automation exports it: total kWh, breakdown by block, comparison to last term, estimated KES saved by the new lights-off rule. No spreadsheet assembly.
