Manual ring

Available to the deputy on duty. Watchman's manual switch in the office continues to work.

Running the school bell on a schedule, with manual override.

You set the bell schedule once at the start of the term and it runs itself. When the timetable changes for sports day or a half-day, you adjust it in one place. The watchman's manual switch keeps working.

The school bell sets the rhythm of the whole day. If it rings five minutes late, every class is off; if it rings during a national exam, somebody's day is ruined.

What you get

A schedule built around your timetable

You set one bell schedule per term, with day-by-day overrides for half-days, sports days, and parents' day. When the timetable changes mid-term, you adjust the schedule once and the bell follows it the next morning.

Muting during exams

When a block of the school goes into exam mode, the bells in that area stay silent so candidates are not disturbed. The bell for the rest of the school continues to ring as normal.

Manual ring from the dashboard

The deputy on duty can ring the bell from their phone if they need to call an assembly outside the normal schedule. The watchman's physical switch in the office continues to work as well.

Optional pre-bell warning

If you want it, we can configure a quieter pre-bell warning that rings one minute before the main bell. This is useful for boarding houses where students need a moment to get out of the dorm.

A real situation

Term 2 starts

What happened

Timetable shifts the lunch period by 15 minutes for the new term.

What we did about it

Estates manager updates the timetable once. The bell follows. No one in the staff room has to remember to retime the manual switch.
