Running the gates and keeping a record of who came through.

You can open the main gate from the gatehouse or from the bursar's phone, set the windows when it is allowed to open during the day, and keep a log of every entry that the board can read at the end of term.

The main gate is the busiest piece of hardware on the compound. It opens for the school buses in the morning, deliveries during the day, parents at pickup, staff coming and going, and the watchman doing his rounds. Schooled Automation puts the gate on the same dashboard as the rest of the school, so you can open it, close it, see when it was last used, and run it on a schedule.

What you get

Open and close from anywhere

You can open or close any gate from the gatehouse tablet, the bursar's phone, or the principal's office. The manual key and lock continue to work as before.

Times of day when the gate is allowed to open

For example, the main gate might be configured to open between 6:00 and 7:30 for the bus drop-off and between 4:00 and 5:00 for pickup, and to stay closed the rest of the day. If somebody opens it outside those hours, a notification goes out to the deputy on duty.

A proper access log

Every time a gate opens or closes, we record who triggered it and when. At the end of the term you can export the whole thing as a PDF for the board to review.

Visitor management

When a visitor arrives, the watchman types in the visitor's name and the staff member they have come to see on the gatehouse tablet. The host gets a notification on their phone, so you stop relying on a paper visitor's book that often gets lost.
